I had just been at Stanford Ortho & was famished. I asked the Valet if there was a place to eat. Ruby's Cafe was just a block away. It gave me a chance to try a new restaurant. The owners were so nice. I had trouble opening the GF peanut butter cookie that was wrapped & they did it for me. We joked how we take our arms for granted. The latte was delicious. We each had different entrees. Me Avacado toast I can't wait to try this at home, yum! My honey had the breastfast chorizo sandwich and a cinammon roll. What a nice local treat. If you are in the area, do stop in. Seating both inside and outside. They had a whole table with to go orders. Plus, people waiting for take out orders. Some customers were enjoying coffee and working. Very relaxing environment.
Had a breakfast here and enjoyed the granola with fruit and yoghurt as well as a decaf cappuccino. Staff were very friendly and I enjoyed the atmosphere.
Such a beautiful cafe and the most friendly staff. Tried the Ruby’s veggie sandwich and it was amazing with the homemade hot salsa. Definitely a gem in Emeryville, a must go.
I truly enjoy everything about Ruby's cafe. Alfred is simply one of a kind and so is his staff. I feel so taken care of when I come in to order or even when I order online through Uber Eats. This is customer service at its finest.
We went here on a Friday afternoon for a quick bite. They have a lot of sandwich options as well as other items. We got the fresh mozzarella sandwich and it was a refreshing sandwich. I also got a Flornetine cookie. Big open space with plenty of seating available. This place is also dog friendly! Staff was nice, friendly and quick with our order. Recommended!
I’ve been to Ruby’s a lot over the years and the food and staff are consistently top notch. I’m a fan of the coffee, those delish chocolate chip cookies and the curry chicken salad sandwich. I was so enamored with the croissant one time that I asked the manager where they sourced them. I thought they baked them on site! But the little secret is they are from Semifreddi’s based in Alameda!
I've been coming for breakfast and lunch every other week for the past several months. The food is tasty and prepared with care, and the service is very good. The bagel with lox is generously portioned with plenty of capers and onions. The breakfast burrito is tasty and very balanced between the chorizo and other ingrediets. All the sandwiches have a great balance of ingredients, are generous, but not oversized. The house coffees are nice blends. What I mean by prepared with care is that nothing is greasy or over salty, meaning it is purposely prepared and assembled carefully, and ingredients chosen and the dish seasoned with attention so the end result is great. Take the breakfast burrito, for example - most places, there would be grease and juices dripping out, but Ruby's is very clean and tasty - you can eat with one hand without worrying it will drip onto your arm.
Excellent service atmosphere is uplifting and high energy with the hint of calmness For a nice lunch experience. What was recommended El Fuego sandwich was delicious. I would recommend getting the sauce on the side. If you are not a fan of spicy. This has a nice kick to it. Most definitely looking to try more of the menu
27years! in business, absolutely fantastic, the best Chai latte in the bay, it's phenomenal! It's like Christmas time in a hot huggable mug! Never had a Chai latte with this thick of a foamy head that lasts thru. out the whole drink, The very best! staff, period, Albert and Thomas thankyou! My favorite meal is their oven roasted turkey sandwich w/ dried cranberries on semifreddis seeded baguette
I discovered this cafe while needing to cool my jets before meetings in Emeryville. Located in a semi-industrial area, Ruby’s is a sight for sore eyes. Tables are well spaced, and the music is carefully curated, as I was tapping along while I ate. The coffee is strong, and the bagel with salmon is worth the price of admission. The bagel was perfectly toasted and loaded with salmon. This place punches well above its weight and is worth deviating from the beaten path to try.
